The Tellico Plains Bears had a tough time getting anything going in all phases on Wednesday night, leading to a 54-43 loss to the Rockwood Tigers in the District 3-A Tournament championship game.
The 43 points were the lowest output of the season by the Bears.
Tellico trailed by as many as 22 points with 4:50 to play but couldn't make up the difference.
Preston Russell was the only Tellico player in double figures as he scored 18 points. Dalton Rinehart finished with nine points.
Tellico will host Jellico in a Region 2-A quarterfinal on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Bears must win that game to keep their season alive.
